California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department. Cal Poly Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22‑campus California State University system and among 12 such institutions nationwide. Faculty members will be required to teach undergraduate classes in all areas of the Electromechanical Engineering Technology curriculum as needed. Primary areas of expertise desired include electromechanical systems or fluids and thermal systems. The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the university. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent teaching, research projects, written and oral communication skills.

- Ph.D. in mechanical/electromechanical/electrical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university by August 1, 2026
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and equity

- Additional professional and teaching experience
- Expertise in fluids and thermal systems with experience in computational fluid dynamics and engineering
- Experience in semiconductor workforce development

- Ability to demonstrate excellent teaching and develop and support laboratories
- Demonstrated responsiveness to the university’s educational equity goals and its increasing ethnic and international character
