Finance, Assistant Professor

Position Overview

Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law, College of Business Administration. Cal Poly Pomona begins the appointment in Fall 2026.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance and investments.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to research, scholarly activities, and service to the Department, College, University, and Community.
• Engage students in experiential learning activities and contribute to the department’s commitment to inclusive and experiential education.

• Ph.D. or DBA in Finance or a related field at the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
• Evidence of teaching excellence and potential to publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Potential to contribute to the academic community through research, teaching, and/or service.

• Evidence of developing and/or advising student‑focused experiential learning activities.
• Expertise in corporate finance and investments.
• Previous peer‑reviewed journal publications in Finance.
• Teaching experience at university level, especially case‑based and writing‑intensive courses.
