Position Overview
Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law, College of Business Administration. Cal Poly Pomona begins the appointment in Fall 2026.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance and investments.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to research, scholarly activities, and service to the Department, College, University, and Community.
- Engage students in experiential learning activities and contribute to the department’s commitment to inclusive and experiential education.
- Ph.D. or DBA in Finance or a related field at the time of appointment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
- Evidence of teaching excellence and potential to publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Potential to contribute to the academic community through research, teaching, and/or service.
- Evidence of developing and/or advising student‑focused experiential learning activities.
- Expertise in corporate finance and investments.
- Previous peer‑reviewed journal publications in Finance.
- Teaching experience at university level, especially case‑based and writing‑intensive courses.
Background check required; conditional offers may be rescinded if disqualifying information is discovered. Out‑of‑state employment prohibited by CSU policy. The position holder is a mandated reporter under California law.

SalaryAcademic year, nine‑month appointment: $134,000 – $138,600.
