Currently we are searching for several undergraduates to work in the laboratory of Prof. Andrew Steele in the Department of Biological Sciences.

The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality, management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn‑by‑doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
The Foundation also contributes operating support to nearly 1,100 Foundation and scholarship programs every year, including Bronco Athletics and the Norman J. Priest Scholarship. In addition, the Foundation administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications. The Foundation contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
Work Responsibilities- Conduct adeno‑associated virus production and characterization in lab mice using techniques including tissue sectioning, antibody labeling, and confocal microscopy. Possibly conduct mouse behavioral and feeding studies. Responsible for preparation of solutions and basic lab maintenance and restocking.
- Pursuing a BS degree in Biology or related field
- Excellent English verbal communication and writing skill
- Responsible and dependable
- Ability to work well with various people including students, faculty, and staff
- Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Previous mouse handling and/or tissue sectioning and staining experience
