The Department of Agribusiness & Food Industry Management/Agricultural Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for Part‑Time Lecturer positions.

The department teaches business‑related courses with a food‑or agricultural emphasis, including accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, agricultural policy, ethics, and international development. It also offers general education courses and engages with the broader community through service‑learning and micro‑internships.

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. Opportunities may include teaching during the Fall term (late August to mid‑December), Spring term (mid‑January to mid‑May) and Summer Sessions.

Subjects for which faculty are needed:

• Agriculture:
  The Foundation of Civilizations
• Ethical Issues in Food, Agriculture, and Apparel Industries
• Accounting for Agribusiness
• Financial Analysis for Agribusiness
• Agribusiness Personnel Management
• Global Resources for Food
• Equine Appraisal and Evaluation

• Teach assigned courses in the department’s curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load. Course assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.

• Attend department meetings and events as required.

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Agribusiness, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science, History, Philosophy, or a related discipline.

• A Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Economics, Agricultural Economics or a related discipline.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.
• Knowledge of assessment practices.

Initial appointments are for one semester only. The rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background, with a range not to exceed $6,221 per month. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition assistance through the CSU system.
