Position Overview
Part‑time Lecturer positions are available in the Department of Educational Leadership for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and Educational Leadership Doctoral Program. Candidates should be experienced, student‑centered educators available to begin teaching on short notice. Summer session opportunities may also be available.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses and provide weekly office hours based on the course load.
- Handle late‑afternoon, evening, and/or weekend courses as required.
- Participate in department planning meetings and adhere to the course schedule and timeline.
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field for assignments in the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Science in Educational Leadership.
- Doctoral degree (EdD, PhD, or equivalent) in Educational Leadership or a related discipline for assignments in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, plus a record of exemplary educational‑leadership professional roles.
- EdD or PhD in Educational Leadership or a related discipline for Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Science in Educational Leadership.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level with evidence of strong teaching effectiveness.
- Prior successful work experience in educational‑leadership roles.
Initial appointments are one semester in length. Salary is prorated based on units taught, with ranks Lecturer A or B starting at the beginning of the range and not exceeding $6,221 per month. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition assistance through the CSU system.
