Position OverviewPart‑time Lecturer in geological sciences at Cal Poly Pomona, teaching courses such as Oceanography, Meteorology, Engineering Geology, or Introduction to Geology. Positions available fall, spring, and possibly summer sessions during the 2026-27 academic year.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned division courses and conduct weekly office hours per unit load.
- Master’s degree in geology or related discipline.
- Ph.D. in geology or related discipline.
- Prior college/university level teaching experience and evidence of strong teaching.
- Industry experience.
Initial rank and salary based on experience, not to exceed $6,221 per month. Full‑time (15 units) salaries prorated for units worked, paid in six monthly payments per semester. The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
