The College of Education and Integrative Studies focuses on meeting the present and future needs of the student community. It is committed to diversity, ethics, social justice, and lifelong learning, and centers its mission on innovation, integrative thinking, reflective practice, collaborative action, and learning by doing. The college comprises two undergraduate departments (Liberal Studies and Early Childhood Studies) and two graduate departments (Education and Educational Leadership).

It has 1,376 students and 41 faculty.

About the Department of Education

The Department of Education’s mission is to empower transformative educators who advocate for justice and equity for all learners. It values equity, racial and social justice, academic excellence, student success, experiential learning, inclusiveness, and environmental responsibility. The department offers credential programs in Education Specialist, Multiple Subject, and Single Subject, with authorizations in Bilingual Education (Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog), Adapted Physical Education, and Agricultural Specialist.

It also offers a Master of Arts in Education with options in Education Specialist and Curriculum & Instruction.

The Position

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term runs from late August to mid‑December; the Spring term runs from mid‑January to mid‑May. Summer Session teaching opportunities may also be available. We welcome individuals with experience and a student‑centered approach to teach in the following subject areas:
