College Lecturer
Lecturer (AY) – Art History
Department of Art, College of Environmental Design, Cal Poly Pomona – Pomona, CA. Part‑time, temporary/lecturer. Positions are filled as needed and may begin on short notice.
ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned courses in Art History (e.g., World Art History, Contemporary Art, Modern Art, Medieval Art, Asian Art History, Latin American Art, African Art, and related topics). Serve weekly office hours as required by the teaching unit load. Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Art History or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate‑level Art History courses effectively.
- Ph.D. in Art History or a related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and evidence of strong teaching.
- Professional experience in museum studies, curatorial practice, or archival research.
Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background and are prorated to units worked. Typical salary ranges for semester appointments are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677 per month
- Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224 per month
- Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523 per month
- Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211 per month
