The Department of Communication at Cal Poly Pomona seeks part‑time lecturers to teach in the areas of Oral Communication and Multimedia Production. Positions are seasonal and will be filled as enrollment and funding permit.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in the department’s curriculum.
- Conduct weekly office hours based on teaching load.
- Be available for day, evening, or weekend courses, including Summer Sessions when needed.
- A master’s degree in communication or a related field (waiver possible with extensive professional experience).
- A desire to work with diverse student populations and colleagues.
- A Ph.D. in communication or a related discipline.
- Prior college or university‑level teaching experience with evidence of effective teaching.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Initial rank and salary are prorated to the number of units taught and paid in six monthly payments. Most new appointees receive Lecturer A or B rank at the beginning of the range up to $6,221 per month.
