Job Summary
Part‑time Temporary Lecturer in the Department of Agribusiness & Food Industry Management/Agricultural Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). Teaching positions are available on a semester basis with flexible start dates based on enrollment and funding.
Teaching Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in the department’s curriculum and provide weekly office hours based on teaching unit load.
- Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
- Attend department meetings and events as encouraged.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Agribusiness, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science, History, Philosophy, or a related discipline relevant to the curriculum.
- A Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Economics, Agricultural Economics or a related discipline.
- Prior college or university‑level teaching experience and evidence of strong teaching ability.
- Knowledge of assessment practices.
Initial appointments are for one semester only. Base salary is prorated with the number of units taught and is paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. The anticipated hiring range, based on qualifications, does not exceed $6,221 per month.
