Job SummaryJoin the Department of Early Childhood Studies at Cal Poly Pomona as a part‑time lecturer teaching courses in Early Childhood Education, Multilingual Learners, STEAM, Special Education, Assessment, and Social Justice/Antiracism. Positions are available for the Fall and Spring terms, with the possibility of summer teaching. Appointments begin with short‑term contracts and may be renewed based on enrollment and funding.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses within the department’s curriculum.
- Serve weekly office hours in line with the assigned teaching unit load.
- Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
- Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related discipline.
- Teaching experience with children aged 0–8 years (infants/toddlers, preschool, or TK–3rd grade).
- Ph.D. in Child Development, Human Development, Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education, or a related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level with evidence of strong teaching.
Initial appointments are for one semester. Salary is prorated to units taught, not to exceed $6,221 per month. The CSU system offers a competitive total compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition assistance.
