The Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law at California State Polytechnic University invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer pool. The pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates must be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term runs from late August to mid‑December; the Spring term runs from mid‑January to mid‑May;

and additional opportunities may be available for Summer Sessions.

Potential faculty will teach any of the following subject areas:
Personal Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management, Financial Institutions and Markets, International Finance, Financial Data Analytics, Real Estate, and Business Law.

• Teach assigned division courses in the department curriculum.
• Provide weekly office hours based on the assigned teaching unit load.
• Offer academic support and guidance to students.

• MBA, J.D., ABD or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.

• A Ph.D. in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and evidence of strong teaching skills.
• Industry experience in finance, real estate, or law.
• Currency in the field and scholarly publications.
• Experience integrating practical case studies or industry applications into the classroom.

Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Monthly base salaries are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.

• Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677 per month
• Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224 per month
• Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523 per month
• Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211 per month
