The Department of Architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer poolin the area of Interior Architecture to teach online in the Masterof Interior Architecture Program.

Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus California State University system and among 12 suchinstitutions nationwide. Since its founding in 1938, Cal Poly Pomona students participate in an integrative experiential learningeducation that is inclusive, relevant, and values diverse perspectives and experiences. The university is noted for its scenic and historic 1,400-acre campus, which was once the winter ranch of cereal magnate W.K.Kellogg. ENV offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture, landscapearchitecture, urban and regional planning; undergraduate degreesvisual communication design and art history; and a graduate degreein regenerative studies.

Cal Poly Pomona department of architecture is highly collegial and collaborative with extremely focused and motivated students. The department offers a Bachelor of Architecture, a Master of Architecture, and a Master of Interior Architecture.

The Master of Interior Architecture is an online professionaldegree (M. INT. ARCH.) accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The primary goal for the Master of Interior Architecture program is to provide an opportunity for individuals, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree, to pursue arigorous program of full-time or part-time study that prepares themto enter the field of interior design, incorporating the highest standards of professional practice.

The knowledge and skill setsimparted to students will enable them to stand out in the workplace and to take on leadership roles in an increasingly competitiveindustry.

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions arefilled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends inmid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends inmid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions mayalso be available. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in the following subject areas:

• Building Codes, Interior Detailing and Building Systems
• Sustainable Strategies in Interior Architecture
• Foundational Interior Architectural Design Studio
• Interior Architectural Practice

Teach assigned division courses in the department's curriculum andserve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.

Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.

• A Master's degree in Interior Architecture or Master degree ina related discipline relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.

• Degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture
• NCIDQ Certification (Council for Interior Design Qualification) or other certification in interior design.
• Professional experience in practice is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university leveland ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Compensation will be based on the applicable CSUSalary Schedule for CFA Unit 3, Classification 2322, and will be commensurate with the assigned workload and enrollment.
