The Department of Geography and Anthropology seeks passionate educators to join ourpart-time lecturer pool, where you will become part of a dynamic,collegial faculty dedicated to student success and innovative teaching. Our department offers an exciting range of introductory through advanced undergraduate courses in both disciplines,providing opportunities to share your expertise while contributing to students' intellectual growth. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diverse perspectives and supports students' varied interests and career aspirations.
Our faculty actively mentor student organizations and research initiatives, creating meaningful connections betweenclassroom learning and real-world applications.
The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions arefilled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding.
Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends inmid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends inmid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions mayalso be available. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- Comparative Primatology, Human Osteology and Skeletal Biology,Bioarchaeology
- Advanced-level Geographic Information System (GIS)
Teach assigned division courses in the department's curriculum andserve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses.

- A Master's degree in Geography or Anthropology or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum from an accredited university.
- Field and/or professional experience.
- A Ph.D. in Geography or Anthropology or related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university leveland ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.
