The Department of Electromechanical Engineering Technology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions in the department of Electromechanical Engineering Technology.

Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus

California State University system and among 12 such institutions nationwide. Since its founding in 1938, Cal Poly Pomona students participate in an integrative experiential learning education thatis inclusive, relevant, and values diverse perspectives and experiences. With a variety of degree programs in the arts,humanities, sciences, engineering, and professional disciplines,the university is well known for its learn- by-doing approach and Teacher Scholar Model.

The university is noted for its scenic and historic 1,400-acre campus, which was once the winter ranch of cereal magnate W.K.Kellogg. We acknowledge that Cal Poly Pomona resides on the territorial and homelands of the Tongva and Tataavium people whoare the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar. The university'snearly 30,000 students are taught and mentored by the campus's morethan 1,400 faculty as part of 54 baccalaureate and 29 master'sdegree programs, 11 credential and certificate programs, and adoctorate in educational leadership.

The College of Engineering is a recognized leader in undergraduate engineering education and consistently ranks high nationally by theU.S. News & World Report among state-supported undergraduate engineering programs in non-doctorate-granting institutions. We arethe largest college on campus and admissions are selective. Weenroll approximately 7,000+ undergraduate students and graduateapproximately 1000+ every year. We enroll approximately 400+graduate students and graduate approximately 100 every year. The college offers ten bachelor's degrees in engineering, twobachelor's degrees in engineering technology, and six engineeringmaster's degrees.

Our undergraduate student body is very diversewith 51 percent from underrepresented groups and nearly 41 percentof our recent graduates are first-generation and low-income.

We graduate day-one professionals that are highly sought after byindustry. Teaching, student learning, and student success are ourmajor priorities, and active research and scholarly activities are expected of faculty. To support these priorities, 62% of our instructional spaces are devoted to laboratories. Faculty embrace the teacher-scholar model that integrates the commitment to excellent teaching with ongoing scholarly engagement to strengthen and support both faculty and students.

Electromechanical Engineering Technology department offers twoprograms which are Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology(EMSET) and Electronics Systems Engineering Technology (ESET). Itoffers collaborative environment with faculty from diverse technical backgrounds. Both programs offer hands-on experience to students through projects and laboratories that focus on real worldengineering problems. Projects, laboratories and club activitiesprovide diverse polytechnic experience. Both our engineering technology programs are multidisciplinary compared to other engineering programs at Cal Poly Pomona.

EMSET program is a blendof mechanical and electronics engineering technology. ESET is ablend of electronics and programmable systems. The departmentconsiders five core values - respect, integrity, collaboration,innovation, and accountability - as the foundation of its culture.

The department is focused on providing a world-class engineering education to students with hands-on experience through state-of-the-art pedagogical approach.

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions arefilled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding.
