Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Department Chair, the Adjunct Faculty member provides high-quality instruction and academic mentorship to students in the Master of Healthcare Administration program. This role supports the program’s mission by integrating theory, applied practice, and leadership development to prepare students for effective management roles across healthcare settings.

• Healthcare delivery systems, organizational structures, and governance models.
• Healthcare finance, policy, quality improvement, and regulatory environments.
• Leadership theories, management frameworks, and change management strategies.
• Accreditation standards and competency-based education in health professions.

• Graduate-level teaching and instructional design using adult learning principles.
• Facilitating discussion-based and applied learning principles.
• Assessing student learning and providing constructive, outcomes-focused feedback.
• Using learning management systems and educational technology tools.

• Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
• Apply real-world healthcare management experience to enhance student learning.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse, mid-career and early-career learners.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, health management, public health, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in healthcare administration, management, leadership, or operations.
• Demonstrate experience applying healthcare management principles in organizational or system-level content.

• Travel may be required for various off-site meetings, trainings, conferences, and/or events in support of the overall objective of the position.
• Ability to teach online, hybrid, or in-person (special requests) formats as assigned.
