Sr. Mechanical Engineer

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will lead product sustainment efforts by implementing design improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Provide technical support for existing products, maintain design and test documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with new product development as needed.

• Lead sustaining projects by identifying opportunities for design enhancements and implement changes to optimize product functionality and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support for the current product line, addressing issues and implementing solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design changes, test results, and product specifications.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer support, to ensure seamless product sustainment.
• Ensure all product modifications comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct testing and validation of design changes to ensure they meet performance and safety criteria.
• Maintain an understanding of all current manufacturing processes.
• Support new product development projects, when needed.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities including but not limited to Kaizen and 5S events, Problem Solving Process, Value Stream Mapping, and Transaction Process Improvement.
• Effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety and quality.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience or HS Diploma/GED and 6+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience with project management systems (e.g. Microsoft Project, Workfront).
• Must reside within a commutable distance to Pomona, CA. This is not a hybrid or remote role.

• Proficient with CAD software, preferably Solid Works, and simulation extension tools required.
• Experience managing projects of moderate complexity.
• Experience mentoring/coaching junior engineers.
• Proficient with electro‑mechanical systems design required.
• Familiarity with injection molding, rapid prototyping, and CNC programming/machinery required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
• Aptitude to quickly learn business systems required.
• Strong verbal and technical written communication skills in English required.
• Ability to build strong partnerships with other departments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data when presenting a business case required.

$121,300 - $148,300

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
