Project Specialist III

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Specialist 3 to support large-scale infrastructure and substation projects. This role focuses on project scheduling, coordination, and performance tracking, serving as a key link between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

You will play a critical role in ensuring projects stay on schedule, risks are identified early, and performance is accurately tracked and reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules for 100–150 active projects
• Build and update master integrated schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Perform schedule analysis, including delay documentation and time impact analysis
• Monitor project performance using forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value tracking
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and internal teams to gather data and ensure alignment
• Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and escalate or resolve as needed
• Support planning of project objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records
• Occasionally travel to job sites (less than once per month)

• 7+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or construction/capital projects
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and SAP
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Utility or energy industry experience
• Substation project experience
• Background in construction management
