Position Overview
Part‑time Lecturer pool for the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Positions filled on a semester basis (Fall, Spring; possible Summer).

Teach assigned division courses in the department’s curriculum and provide weekly office hours based on the teaching load. May be required to attend department meetings relevant to teaching duties.
Required Qualifications- A Master’s degree in Chemical or Materials engineering or related discipline in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
- Demonstrable skills/potential for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and in developing and implementing laboratory-based experiments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A Ph.D. in chemical or materials engineering or related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.
- An undergraduate degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Demonstrable and practical skills in teaching a broad range of courses and laboratories in Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to work with others in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Initial rank and salary determined by experience and education. Full‑time (15 units) monthly base salaries prorated to units, paid in six monthly payments per semester. New appointees generally hired at Lecturer A or B rank no more than $6,221 per month (as of July 2024). The CSU system offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition assistance.
