This position is for qualified and highly motivated PhD or MD
- PhD in the interdisciplinary translational research program that is seamlessly integrated with research, training and mentoring in several areas of translational sciences with pre-clinical and clinical scientists. Reports directly to Dr. Devendra K. Agrawal, Professor and Head, Department of Translational Research. Will be trained and mentored while working with Dr. Agrawal in maintaining the research laboratories and in the conduct of the assigned research projects.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Expertise in in vivo experimental models of cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or neurological diseases, cell and molecular immunology, immunopathology, transmembrane signaling, biochemical assays and molecular biology techniques will be required. The postdoctoral fellows will work in one of the research areas, including metabolic syndrome, coronary artery disease, carotid artery disease, rotator cuff injury, traumatic brain injury, osteoarthritis,
  • Knowledge in cell culture and pre-clinical testing of the molecules is preferable.
Abilities
  • To have the ability to design and conduct experiments independently, write manuscripts and fellowship applications, and present the findings at national and international meetings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications

Education:

  • PhD or MD
    - PhD in the interdisciplinary research program.
