We are seeking a highly experienced data analytics professional to design, deliver, and support advanced data solutions. This role applies deep expertise in data engineering, modeling, forecasting, and business intelligence within the Utilities industry to translate complex data into actionable insights and executive-level decision support, with exposure to utilities and infrastructure-related projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data engineering and data management solutions, including ETL processes, data modeling, data warehouses, and preparation of large, complex datasets for analytical and predictive use.
- Apply advanced expertise in modeling, forecasting, and economic analysis using statistical, algorithmic, and economic methods to solve complex business problems and quantify performance.
- Develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and visualization solutions using Power BI, Excel, SAS, and other business intelligence tools.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of project and operational data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Translate analytical results into executive-ready narratives that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Understand data structures to drive improvements in processes, reporting features, formats, and system upgrades.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Provide data and analytical support to executives, managers, and cross-functional operational teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Planning, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience designing and delivering data engineering solutions.
- 5+ years of data analytics experience.
- Utilities industry experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Business Intelligence tools, SAS, and SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to support multiple tasks and adapt to changing project priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of utility business operations.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Experience supporting permitting, public outreach, utility coordination, research, document control, or contracts.
- Familiarity with working in public agency or regulated project environments.
