Your future roleThe Crew Caller is responsible for ensuring that train crews are properly scheduled and notified for their assignments. This role involves coordinating with various departments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with labor agreements and regulations. Please note that the Crew Management team supports a 24/7 railroad operation. As such, flexibility to work AM/PM schedules on a rotating basis is required.
We’lllook to you for:
- Assist in scheduling of train assignments.
- Notify train crews of their assignments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of crew assignments, hours worked, and availability.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, train masters, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor crew availability and manage crew changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labor agreements, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Handle emergency crew calls and reassignments as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to crew members and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to crew scheduling.
- Coordinate vehicle transportation for crew assignments as required.
- Investigate customer complaints.

- Degree in Transportation, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Previous Crew Management/Scheduling Experience preferred.
- Experience or understanding of supervisory roles within an FRA regulated railroad environment.
- Knowledge of FRA Regulations on Operating rules GCOR, Timetable and Special Instructions.
- Familiarity with the physical layout and operation of the Authority’s rail system.
- Must have people skills and management skills to ensure professional interaction with the Operations team.

Pay Range: $85,000.00 to $ depending on experience/qualifications.
This position is eligible for Railroad Retirement.
