In this job, you’ll work closely with SC&M leadership on a wide variety of tactical and operational execution functions, processes, programs, and strategy development. As a Substation Construction & Maintenance Tactical, Senior Advisor (SC&M), you will also be required to operate within a fast-paced environment that plays a critical role in driving the success of high-volume, high-visibility projects within the substation function.

- Leads a wide variety of operational field execution functions, processes, programs, and strategy development.
- Optimizes near-term tactical scheduling/crew allocation, planning and scheduling coordination across dozens of work commodities and crew resources (inspection, maintenance, repair and capital).
- Performs execution plan change management and field implementation of technology initiatives.
- Leads contracting and procurement strategies, and projects/initiatives to enhance department capabilities to execute O&M and Capital tasks.
- Receives work intake and annual capital scheduling and resource allocation and planning.
- Develops department’s annual resource strategy schedule and assignments.
- Leads and develops vendor management and contractor performance processes.
- Leads department execution plan change management for inspection, maintenance, repair, and capital field activities when emergent work, operational constraints, and changes in budgets/funding occur.
- Develops new execution strategies and oversees implementation, documents, communicates, and monitors outcomes of work allocation and scheduling tenets changes.
- Supports process improvement efforts by applying knowledge of business operations and improvement methodologies.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Ten or more years of experience in electric transmission operations.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, identify potential risks and challenges, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Expertise in creating communication materials (such as PowerPoint presentations) and facilitating decision-making discussions with senior leadership.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, and other performance management dashboards.
- Experience supporting change initiatives, including process changes, training efforts, and readiness or adoption activities.
- Experience in project or program management, including resource coordination and working knowledge of T&D organizational structures.
- Experience supporting oversight of complex programs or operational initiatives.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid
. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
