Join our team in Pomona, CA as an Electromechanical Switchboard Assembler. This role works the 2nd shift from 4:00pm to 12:30 Midnight, with 3 months of training on 1st shift. Starting pay is $19.98.A day in the life
Your evening begins by reviewing the production schedule and scanning into your first work order using our computer and scanning systems. With blueprints, bills of materials, and one line diagrams at your station, you’ll assemble and modify electromechanical equipment—think switchboards, lighting panels, and related components.
As you move from subassembly to final build, you’ll fasten component parts to cubicles or frames and complete unit assemblies. You’ll scan out of one work order and into the next to keep up with standard and expedited jobs. Throughout your shift, you’ll keep tools organized, equipment operating, and your area clean to maintain safe working conditions.
This is hands-on work that requires standing for 10–12 hours, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and occasionally sliding heavy materials up to 50 lbs, along with bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing as tasks demand.
What you’ll handle
Assemble and/or modify electromechanical equipment (e.g., switchboards, lighting panels) using mechanical tools and blueprints
Process work orders via computers and scanning devices in alignment with production or expedited schedules
Scan in and out of work orders to track progress and throughput
Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and one line diagrams to complete assignments
Fasten component parts on cubicles or frames, subassemblies, and unit assemblies
Clean and maintain equipment and the work area for proper function and safety
What you bring
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with mechanical/measuring tools
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English Ability to stand for extended periods to perform job duties
Capability to reach, grasp, and lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull and slide heavy material
Comfort with stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing
At least 18 years of age Thorough, detail-focused, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn all equipment in the facility and follow established processes
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
Experience reading blueprints
Experience with large industrial machines
