Job Title: Centrifugal Service Technician

Location: Pomona, CA

Pay Range: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour (depending on qualifications). Includes $3,000 Sign-On Bonus.

Job Overview

The Centrifugal Service Technician serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our centrifugal compressor product lines including Centac and Turbo Air models, alongside other compressed air system components. The role involves precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting and requires knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with the equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning, start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems, including hands‑on work to meet customer requirements.
  • Read wiring schematics and diagrams, research complex technical issues, and implement solutions.
  • Document service and installation activities by completing work orders, performing maintenance checklists, and maintaining daily time sheets.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements.
  • Conduct safety assessments and ensure proper operation of compressed air equipment through preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Work with Service Coordinator and operations teams to order and gather parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
  • Explain practices, procedures, and policies to reach agreement with suppliers and others outside the job area.
  • Conduct basic vibration and air quality troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of centrifugal compressor experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanic's tool set; specialty tools will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms, extreme weather, precarious places, and electrical safety risks.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
Core Competencies
  • Reading wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Advanced network system installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
  • Basic vibration troubleshooting.
  • Basic air quality troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Office and basic computer usage.
  • Proficiency with handheld computers (smartphone, iPad) and network basics.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
Preferences
  • Industrial air compressor maintenance and knowledge.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Veteran/Active‑Duty Military applicants encouraged.
Travel & Work Arrangements
  • Daily travel to customer sites; occasional overtime and overnight stays.
