Grace Roofing & Sheet Metal Enterprise has an immediate opening for a Construction Accountant to join our growing team. We are a local reputable family owned and operated roofing company serving South Florida.
Responsibilities
* Interacts with the project manager and unit managers for managing objectives, goals and performance as well as working with the estimating department
* Support activities concerned with the reporting and control of the close process, forecasting and planning
* Responsible for reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.
* Prepare weekly Subcontractor and vendor payments.
* Prepare monthly sales commission report.
* Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financials.
* Monthly tracking and adjusting of Cost of Goods Sold.
* Maintain WIP report
* Perform Job Cost Analysis.
* Assist with Pricing of Services.
* Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit and collections.
* Support purchase order requisitions and material ordering.
* Manage inventory, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.
* Prepare year-end 1099.
* Ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in accounting.
* 1-2 years of related work experience.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
* Ability to develop strong analytical skills.
* Strong customer focus.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work daily during specified business hours in order to meet deadlines.
* Quick Books experience required.
* Construction background desired but not required.
