Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Pompano Beach, FL, for a Dispatcher at TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating dispatch operations, responding to requests for assistance, and communicating effectively with customers and crew. Tasks include receiving and prioritizing service calls, tracking vessel locations, ensuring clear communication with crew, and providing updates to customers regarding service status.
The Dispatcher will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction while ensuring efficient, timely assistance during operations.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal communication, and written communication proficiency
- Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking skills to manage and prioritize multiple calls and tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using dispatch systems, tracking software, and basic computer applications
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge or experience in marine operations or emergency dispatch is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
