Position Summary
Ninety percent of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5, and we’re on a mission to help our youngest learners start strong! As an Early Learning Tutor, you will help pre‑kindergarten students build early literacy and math skills through guided activities and coaching.

- Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
- Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
- Share your experience with the community
By the time you begin your service with Early Learning Corps, you should be:
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Able to successfully complete a background check
Positions run August 2026–June 2027.
- 37.5 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
- Daytime hours corresponding with school start and end times
- Monday‑Friday (no weekends)
- Time off on holidays and school release days
Part‑time positions are also available at 27.5 and 15 hours per week.
Pay & BenefitsFull‑time Ameri Corps members receive a paycheck every two weeks. Compensation: $16.63 per hour served.
