This full-time, on-site role is located in Pompano Beach, FL and focuses on teaching English Language Arts (ELA) to students in grades 4 and 5. The educator plans and delivers standards-based ELA lessons, including reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and language skills, aligned with District and state curriculum. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback.

The role also involves maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with grade-level and support staff, and communicating regularly with families and caregivers about student growth. The teacher participates in professional development, contributes to school initiatives, and adheres to all BCPS policies and procedures.

• Ability to design and implement effective lesson planning and instructional strategies aligned with curriculum standards.
• Strong foundation in education practices, including child development, literacy instruction, and classroom management.
• Demonstrated teaching and training skills to engage students, support varied learning styles, and scaffold academic growth.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Valid Florida teaching certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education or related field with ELA endorsement preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing equitable, inclusive teaching practices.
• Proficiency with educational technology and data-driven instruction to monitor and support student progress.
