Job Overview

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions to owners, engineers and contractors. It is the exclusive licensee of VSL post-tensioning systems in the United States. The company is recruiting a QA/QC Engineer to join the Structural Technologies/VSL team at its office in Pompano Beach, FL.

As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be involved in the quality control of shop drawings and provide technical support for the detailing, installation, and repair of post-tension systems. You will work closely with detailing, coordination, shop, and estimating teams. You will keep current knowledge of the latest developments in post-tension design and construction by reviewing technical publications, attending conferences and professional society meetings, and engaging with industry representatives.

You may attend client meetings and site visits for inspections, repairs, and coordination.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree may be given preference).
• 3-5 years of experience in post-tension detailing, design, and/or engineering.
• Good understanding of relevant PTI and ACI codes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of reinforced concrete design, steel design, concepts, mechanics of materials, and cast-in-place concrete construction practice.
• Experience in evaluating, assessing, and repairing post-tensioned systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize work across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Florida PE licensure, or ability to obtain it in a short time, will be given preference.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent documentation, organizational, and computer skills.
• Positive outlook and team-oriented approach.
