Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
We are seeking a high-level Director of Engineering to join our Dometic Marine team in Pompano Beach, FL. This onsite leadership role is responsible for leading the product development team for boat living, specifically focusing on air conditioning and refrigeration for pleasure crafts and work boats.
Role Overview- Reports to:
General Manager (Solid line) and VP of Product Development & Technology (Dotted line). - Direct Reports: 5–8 team members.
- Travel:
Approximately 5%, primarily to resolve quality concerns. - Stakeholders:
Internal collaboration with Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales; external liaison with customers (dealers, OEMs) and suppliers.
- Education:
Minimum four-year bachelor's degree in engineering; a Master's degree is highly desirable. - Core
Experience:
Minimum 8 or more years of experience in product development or manufacturing engineering. - Leadership
Experience:
Minimum 5 or more years of supervisory/management experience. - Technical
Skills:
strong proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Behavioral
Skills:
Excellent skills in staff management, mentoring, and multi‑functional project management in a manufacturing environment.
- Health Insurance:

- Development Leadership: Lead and coach the product development team to plan and execute all development activities, including test and sustaining engineering.
- Project Oversight: Control planning, scheduling, and resource allocations for multiple projects to ensure accurate, timely, and profitable implementation.
- Strategic Planning: Serve as a key member of the management team, formulating long‑term objectives and standards of performance for product development.
- Execution: Execute near‑term targets superbly, focusing on high‑priority tasks within budget and timeframe.
- Innovation: Adapt cutting‑edge HVAC technologies from home and automotive applications for marine environments.
- Supply Chain Liaison: Act as a liaison with the in‑house manufacturing team and a worldwide network of suppliers.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
Shift: First.
Work hours:
7 AM - 4 PM.
