Role Description

The Therapist is a full-time, on‑site role based in Pompano Beach, FL, providing outpatient counseling and support to individuals experiencing substance use and co‑occurring behavioral health concerns. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, biopsycho‑socials, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy sessions using clinically appropriate modalities. The Therapist documents all services in a timely and accurate manner, monitors client progress, and adjusts treatment plans as needed.

The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, participating in case reviews, coordinating care with external providers when appropriate, and maintaining compliance with professional, legal, and organizational standards. The Therapist also engages in ongoing professional development and supports a recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed environment.

Qualifications
  • Clinical expertise in substance use and behavioral health treatment, including experience with individual and group therapy in an outpatient setting.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate, timely clinical records in compliance with regulations.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills to work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, exercise sound clinical judgment, and respond to crises using de‑escalation and safety‑focused approaches.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, gender‑neutral, and non‑discriminatory care, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Basic proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software; ability to learn new systems and follow privacy and security protocols.
  • Willingness to participate in supervision, training, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in substance use treatment.
