Join Banyan Treatment Centers as an HR Business Partner, owning a portfolio of facilities and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations. With a strong foundation in employee relations, compliance, and HR operations, you'll be the go-to resource for resolving issues, coaching leaders, and building trust across the workforce — while helping standardize and improve how HR runs day to day.

This role is ideal for someone ready to deepen their impact: comfortable in both structure and ambiguity, energized by a mission that changes lives.

Why Join Our Team?

Banyan Treatment Centers is a leading national provider of intensive treatment for individuals facing substance use and mental health disorders. Backed by TPG, one of the nation’s largest private equity investors, Banyan has physical locations across 8 states and a growing virtual care platform.

We're not just running an HR function, we're building the Banyan Way: a scalable, modern people infrastructure, and a consistent, high-quality employee experience that attracts and retains top talent.

What It's Like to Work in HR Here
  • We promote from within. We recognize performance and build real growth paths.
  • Expectations are clear, and support is always there. Everyone has defined annual goals, and the team connects weekly to stay aligned.
  • We show up for each other. Real people, real challenges, every day — but we don't carry it alone. There's trust, support, and a lot of laughter.
  • We do the work. This past year has been about improving processes and streamlining how we operate.

Eligible full-time team members receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; disability coverage; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off and holidays; wellness incentives; and employee assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders, employees, and HR team members
  • Lead employee relations efforts: investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Identify trends and partner with leaders to improve engagement and retention
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience across locations
  • Support initiatives across the employee lifecycle — from hire to development to retention
  • Help standardize and modernize HR practices in line with the Banyan Way
  • Own core HR processes: lifecycle changes, documentation, and HR ticketing support
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and standardization
  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and execution matters
  • Serve as a resource for employees on benefits and eligibility
  • Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA, STD, LOA) with a focus on compliance and support
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure employee changes are accurately reflected across systems
  • Support the transition and use of ADP (HRIS & payroll), and maintain accurate employee data
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws across multiple states, with strong audit-ready documentation
  • Partner with HR leadership to strengthen compliance while keeping a people-first approach
Qualifications

Required

  • 3 + years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Hands-on ER experience — you've run investigations independently
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state compliance
  • Ability to both execute the work and improve it
  • Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communicator who builds trust and influences leaders
  • A team-first, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with a bias for action

Preferred

  • Experience with ADP is strongly preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated environment is a plus
