Senior Project Manager

One Hope’s Research and Development team designs products and programs that engage children and youth around the world with Scripture. Within the Research and Development team, the Senior Project Manager of Digital Development provides operational leadership for the development and delivery of digital, Scripture-engagement programs from product definition through program validation. This includes partnering with the Director of Digital Engagement to translate approved digital ministry initiatives into successful digital products and experiences,, managing the team of project managers and developers, holding teams accountable to timelines, technical quality, and budgets, communicating frequently with work groups, working closely with international team members, and coordinating a team for various projects.

The Research and Development team is looking for an individual with the experience needed to strengthen our digital development capability in this growing area of digital ministry. Desired qualities include a strong background in technical skills related to digital product development and maintenance, experience in UX design and agile development processes, propensity for working in digital environments, a strong desire to learn, ability to quickly assess and solve problems to meet evolving ministry needs, and manage the many aspects and personnel involved in digital program development and delivery.

Because this is an area of fast-paced growth within the ministry, the ideal candidate will support the growth that takes the ministry into the future and results in millions of young people being impacted by Scripture.

This is a new role on the team. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the daily operations, workload, and prioritization of projects of the Digital Program Development Team, providing leadership to project managers and developers while establishing effective development processes, delivery practices, and technical workflows, and demonstrate the ability to interact with and serve team members across the organization well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of One Hope and faithfully upholds One Hope ministry in prayer

Ministers to One Hope’s donor partners as needed, representing the vision and impact of digital Scripture engagement programs and ongoing faith development of seekers.

Provides day-to-day leadership for team members, including project managers and developers.

Introduces and champions industry best practices in software development, digital product delivery, human-centered design, and team operations.

Establishes and continuously improves development processes, agile practices, project governance, and delivery standards.

Serves as the primary bridge between ministry, design, and technical teams to ensure successful execution of digital initiatives.

Advises the Director of Digital Engagement on technical feasibility, delivery sequencing, resource planning, and development risks.

Consults with the Director of Software Development and the Director of Technology Design & Management on utilizing organizationally preferred technology stacks and design patterns

Coordinates with the Director of Innovation to identify opportunities to mitigate technical and ministry risk through small-scale experiments in the Innovation Portfolio Works independently and with a team to coordinate the development of new digital products and programs (apps, websites, digital campaigns, etc.)Facilitates delivery of digital programs and contributes technical expertise into the components of new digital ministry programs and products
