Job Details

Our firm is seeking a seasoned Permanent Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of legal professionals and will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of cases. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional development and growth within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Handling all aspects of civil litigation, from case inception through trial or resolution.
• Defending insured parties in a variety of claims, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to develop defense strategies.
• Drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and negotiating settlements.
• Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida state bar.
• Experience with Civil Litigation or Insurance Defense a plus
• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• A proven track record of successfully managing a caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
