Slot Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

The Games Supervisor in Slots is responsible for monitoring and supervising the daily Slot and Keno floor operations on a specific shift, ensuring courteous, prompt and outstanding service is provided by all employees.

• Interview, train, and select employees for the department.
• Review, analyze and make recommendations for wage increases, promotions, or demotions as needed.
• Respond to and handle employee and guest concerns (grievances) in a timely and efficient manner.
• Recommend or take appropriate action in administering disciplinary processes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Plan, supervise and monitor the work of the team members within the assigned area(s).
• Train Slots and Keno Hosts, providing guidance to perform their responsibilities.
• Observe, verify and supervise large payout transactions, countersigning jackpot checks when appropriate.

• Oversee significant monetary exchanges to ensure prompt and accurate execution of every transaction.
• Complete daily personnel assignments and reassign personnel on floor based on business volume.
• Provide feedback from the slot floor to upper‑management to improve customer service.
• Know department policies and procedures, including those pertaining to federal regulations.
• Build and maintain rapport with customers, handling disputes and striving for satisfaction.
• Use discretion to identify situations that require management attention.
• Secure keys within department guidelines.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Manage casino operations on an assigned shift.
• Demonstrate a positive example of Harrah’s and encourage others to do the same.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Completion of the Supervisor Leadership Assessment Program (SuperLAP) required.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ previous experience in Slots or Keno preferred.

• Maneuver to all areas of the casino.
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Assist in maintaining casino cleanliness.
• Communicate with strangers.
• Bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items.
• Walk and stand for long periods.
• Maintain sense of urgency in fast‑paced business.
• Work calmly and professionally in stressful situations.
• Tolerate smoke, high‑noise levels, bright lights and dust.
• Respond to visual and aural cues.
