The purpose of this position is to operate tunnel washer systems to wash and dry soil linen according to the customer's specifications and Crown Linen practices. This position is also responsible for the operation of the Future-Rails system, proper use of tunnels, presses, shuttles, conveyors, and dryers as required to successfully process customers’ production needs.

• Operate a computer system that operates the tunnel washers and shuttle systems, including theory of operation and issue analysis.
• Identify and differentiate various types of linen and match them to customer account codes to minimize processing errors.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of tunnels, presses, MLA’s, and workstations.
• Prepare laundry for processing by performing tasks in multi-sort/trans-sort, tunnels/dryers, future-rail, and MLA areas.
• Operate MLA systems for manual entry of soiled laundry when required.
• Open bundles of soiled laundry push bags to maintain workflow in other production areas.
• Maintain tunnels’ performance (transfers) according to Crown Linen standards.
• Report all mechanical issues to Management and Maintenance Department.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

• 1 year of laundry experience or a combination of computer education and experience.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy level.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Intermediate level English communication skills for oral and written instructions.
• Strong analytical skills for understanding production flow requirements.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and with little supervision.
