GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to operate tunnel washer systems to wash and dry soil linen according to the customer's specifications and Crown Linen practices. This position is also responsible for the operation of the Future-rails system, proper use of tunnels, presses, shuttles, conveyors, and dryers as required to successfully process customers’ production needs.

Duties And Responsibilities- Responsible for operating a computer system that operates the tunnel washers, shuttle systems to include the theory of operation and issue analysis.
- Must be able to understand and differentiate various types of linen and match to customer account codes to minimize linen processing errors.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and safe always:
Tunnels, Presses, MLA’s, and Workstation. - Prepares laundry for processing by performing any combination of assigned tasks within the following areas:
Multi-sort/Trans-Sort, Tunnels/Dryers, Future-rail, and MLA. - Operates MLA systems for manual entry of soiled laundry when required.
- Opens bundles of soiled laundry push bags as required to maintain workflow in other production areas.
- Responsible for maintaining Tunnels’ Performance (Transfers) according to Crown Linen Standards.
- Responsible to report all mechanical issues to Management and Maintenance Department.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- 1 year of laundry experience, or a combination of computer education and experience.
- Must possess an intermediate to advanced computer literacy level.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast pace, constantly changing environment.
- Must be able to communicate in English at least at an intermediate level to be able to comprehend oral and/or written instructions.
- Must possess strong analytical skills to understand production flow requirements such as but not limited to input/output procedures.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
