Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a top-performing hospital. The role involves providing specialized pre, intra, and post-operative care in a cardiovascular surgery unit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care in the CVOR setting.
- Scrub in all surgical procedures including joint replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Plastic Surgery.
- Operate and monitor advanced surgical equipment such as Impella, ECMO, Bypass pump, and Laser lead extraction systems.
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and assist with intraoperative procedures across multiple specialties.
- Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled to support patient needs.
- Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Have a minimum of 2 years recent experience in an acute OR or CVOR setting.
- Be proficient in scrubbing and capable of working across all service lines excluding robotics.
- Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, multitasking, and bedside manners.
- Able to work rotating weekends if required.
- Hold valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Gain valuable experience in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical unit at a recognized top hospital.
- Enhance skills working with advanced surgical equipment and a diverse range of procedures.
- Develop professionally within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment.
