Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital Open Heart OR setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute OR experience and the ability to scrub across all service lines.

Job Details

• Open Heart OR unit within an acute care hospital setting,

• 1:1 patient ratio,

• Specialized equipment includes Impella, ECMO, bypass pump, laser (lead extraction), EVH, and rapid transfuser,

• Procedures include joint replacement, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery,

• Day shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM,

• On-call is split and dependent on staffing,

• Rotating weekends are a possibility,

• Charting performed in Meditech,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start),

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute OR setting,

• Must be able to scrub and be proficient across all surgical service lines,

• Ability to function in all surgical specialties including robotics, ortho, spine, and GYN,

• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration - no exceptions;
Canadian SSNs are not accepted,

• Two professional references required for Florida placements,

• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients,

• Key competencies include proficient charting, multitasking, critical thinking, and excellent bedside manner,

• OR scrubs are provided by the unit,

• The facility is a 228-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital recognized as a top-performing hospital since 1980,

• Facility is a certified primary stroke center and Blue Distinction Stroke Center with specialized programs in open heart surgery, orthopedics, robotics, and rehabilitation,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
