Audio Visual Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician works primarily in the QC department of a branch warehouse but may be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse departments as business needs dictate. Employees in this role will help out in all disciplines (audio, video, projection, etc.) and must have a general proficiency with basic AV equipment and computers.
Responsibilities- Perform quality‑control procedures on returning equipment.
- Ensure all cases and equipment are presentable and in ideal working condition.
- Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
- Manage firmware versions for applicable devices.
- Organize and store all tested equipment.
- Correctly process missing or damaged equipment.
- Handle hard deadlines and plan workflow depending on client needs.
- Troubleshoot equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer support for clients.
- Follow direction of the department leader and managers.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED.
- Experience working with professional audio‑visual equipment and computer equipment.
- Basic understanding of inventory software for forecasting of workload.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
This position does not supervise other employees.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a warehouse environment.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and communicate with coworkers. Occasionally the employee must lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are subject to change and may rotate. The needs of the business may dictate long hours and weekend work during high‑demand periods.
