Quality Control Technician II

The Role

The Quality Control Technician II performs a variety of product inspections, generally of finished goods, components, incoming raw materials, or new products, by observing, measuring, and recording data. This position is located in Pompano Beach, Florida and is a 1st shift position.

• Compare inspection results to defined requirements or specifications and document differences found.
• Make accept/reject decisions based on established guidelines and documented procedure requirements.
• Ensure that established sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
• Perform in-process testing and identify out‑of‑specification product.
• Ensure proper disposition of defective products.
• Provide technical support to quality, quality engineering, and product support.
• Provide training to new and existing employees as required and review the work of others.
• Provide support for high-priority site projects.
• Possess strong conflict resolution, change management, communication (written and verbal), organizational management, business ethics, and analytical reasoning skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a diverse cross‑functional environment.
• Have specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable work experience.
• May participate in internal and external audits as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the incoming inspection processes.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Required: High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years’ experience; or an Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability; ability to prioritize within a changing business environment; demonstrate attention to detail and ability to stay focused on tasks for long periods; effective communication and a sense of urgency to complete production schedules on time; personal responsibility for quality and timeliness; basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to work independently and within a team;

advocacy for a safe work environment and responsibility for safety of self and others.

Internal: Manufacturing, Product Support, Formulations, Engineering, Material Management, Quality Labs, Quality Engineering.

External: Suppliers.

Protective equipment required: gloves, eyewear, lab coat; biological hazards: blood products; weekends and overtime may be required.

• Close visual acuity.
• Occasional repetitive movements of hands.

• Occasional use of power jack.
• Occasional pushing and pulling.
