Customer Relationship Technical Support Specialist
A wholesale lighting company established in 1986 is looking to add Customer Relationship Technical Support Specialists to its team. We have full-time opportunities at our Pompano Beach, FL, and Dallas, TX offices. This is not a cold-calling sales role. The focus is on supporting and growing existing accounts through responsiveness, product knowledge, and strong customer service.
Duties:Manage and support existing customer accounts
- Process orders, quotes, and customer requests accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with customers regarding product availability, lead times, shipment status, and order updates
- Review and understand product specifications and assist customers with product selection and alternatives
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams regarding inventory needs and stock levels
- Assist with resolving customer issues related to shipments, backorders, and product substitutions
- Follow company policies related to credit holds, order releases, and account management
- Maintain accurate account and order information within ERP systems
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and management teams to support overall customer satisfaction and sales growth
Strong communication and organizational skills
Technical aptitude and ability to learn product specifications and lighting terminology
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Experience in lighting, electrical distribution, industrial supply, HVAC, plumbing supply, or related industries preferred
ERP/order entry experience preferred
Prior inside sales or account management experience preferred
