Area Wholesale Manager – HVAC Products (South Florida Market)

Job Summary

The Wholesale Area Manager works closely with the Directors of Sales, Regional Directors of Operations and Regional Product Management to align the Wholesale Branches with company and regional strategies. The role focuses on increasing sales, profitability, and market share in the South Florida market while driving key operational performance metrics. Responsibilities include critiquing branch merchandising, operating systems, policies, and processes; fostering collaboration and development;

recruiting and developing branch sales talent; and conducting regular audits, sales and business reviews using BI tools.

Responsibilities
  • Customer‑oriented approach with ability to coach employees and understand customer needs.
  • Oversee branch operations and sales & profitability goals for a group of Wholesale branches in the assigned market.
  • Formulate strategies and action plans to maximize sales at each respective Wholesale branch.
  • Ensure each Wholesale branch implements and maintains the highest level of customer service.
  • Work directly with local sales teams to develop strategies for increased traffic and gather dealer feedback on customer service efforts.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training new Sales Associates, Branch Sales Reps, and Wholesale Branch Sales Managers; manage the teams to achieve high professional standards and meet monthly sales and EBIT targets.
  • Conduct regular audits, sales, and business reviews using BI tools to identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal ability, integrity, and a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Apply excellent time management, organization, and planning skills; be a self‑starter capable of handling multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Develop and mentor leaders in the Wholesale Branches to sustain a leadership pipeline.
  • Analyze situations and recommend corrective actions to operational processes.
  • Communicate verbally and written to a wide variety of skill/knowledge levels and possess excellent presentation skills.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales leadership in B2B sales, including sales and margin growth.
  • Retail or distribution knowledge/experience.
Education

Minimum:
High School or GED. Preferred: 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Years of Experience

3 years of demonstrated sales leadership.
