We serve licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors across 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Canada.
Objective: The Wholesale Area Manager works closely with the Directors of Sales, Regional Directors of Operations and Regional Product Management to ensure the alignment of the Wholesale Branches with overall company and regional strategies. This position will focus on increased sales, profitability, and market share in the assigned market by working closely with Branch Sales Managers and Branch Sales Reps while driving key operational performance metrics.
The Wholesale Area Manager continuously critiques branch merchandising, operating systems, policies, procedures, and processes for opportunities for improvement, fosters collaboration, sharing, and development, and assists in recruiting and developing Branch Sales Associates to build an exceptional pipeline.
Job Summary:
- Customer-oriented approach with the ability to coach employees and understand customer needs.
- Oversee branch operations and sales & profitability goals for a group of Wholesale branches in an assigned market.
- Formulate strategies and action plans to maximize sales at each respective Wholesale branch.
- Ensure each Wholesale branch implements & maintains the highest level of customer service.
- Work directly with local sales teams to develop strategies for increased traffic and conduct dealer feedback on customer service.
- Participate in recruiting to hire and train new Sales Associates, Branch Sales Reps, and Wholesale Branch Managers; manage the branches to develop, coach and motivate the teams to meet monthly sales and EBIT targets.
- Conduct regular audits, sales and business reviews using BI tools to identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal ability, integrity, and a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Excellent time management, organization and planning skills; self-starters with proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work to stretch, challenge and develop leaders in the Wholesale Branches to keep the leadership pipeline flowing.
- Analyze situations and make appropriate recommendations for correcting operational processes.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to a wide variety of skill/knowledge levels and possess excellent presentation skills.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, high energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for sales.

- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales leadership in B2B sales, with sales and margin growth preferred.
- Retail or Distribution knowledge/experience preferred.
Education: Minimum High School or GED. Preferred 4‑Year bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
