Position: Fire Alarm Inspector at Bemana, LLC Pompano Beach, FL

The Fire Alarm Systems Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with fire safety standards and local building codes. Responsible for the completion of service requests at various locations throughout the given territory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform regular inspections and tests on fire alarm systems to ensure they are working effectively and meet NFPA standards.
  • Coordinate with the local fire department to avoid unnecessary responses during testing.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications related to fire alarm systems.
  • Identify malfunctions, damage, or other issues that could impact the functionality of the fire alarm system.
  • Write detailed reports outlining the results of each inspection, noting any deficiencies or recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
  • Coordinate with service technicians for repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems based on inspection findings.
  • Stay up to date with the latest fire safety regulations, codes, and standards to ensure accurate inspections.
  • Educate clients on fire safety practices and how to operate their fire alarm systems properly.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering client questions and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures, wearing PPE when required.
  • Report any issues or incidents promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
SKILLS & AMBILITIES
  • Basic skills using Apple iPad are necessary.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 70.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Highly self‑motivated and detail oriented.
  • Physical ability to carry and handle heavy materials and tools.
  • Exercise care and use of property and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact positively with clients, customers, management, and staff.
  • Ability to identify issues, address them, and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Possession of relevant licenses and certifications, as required by local or state regulations.
  • Certification on major manufacture brands preferred (Edwards, Simplex, Notifier, FCI, Siemens).
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum two years of previous experience in fire alarm inspection, installation, electrical installation, or a similar role.
