Job SummaryThe Mechanic Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Support production teams with quick response to breakdowns and downtime issues.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS (e.g., MaintainX).
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Apply and enforce LOTO procedures during all maintenance activities to ensure safety.
- Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems (pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors).
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS software.
- Uphold high safety standards and model safe behaviors.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Frequently required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier loads with assistance.
- Ability to use hands and arms for reaching, handling, and operating tools or equipment.
- Tolerance for exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and industrial environments.
Pay: $20.35 per hour
Schedule:
2nd shift 3:15 PM–1:45 AM Monday through Thursday
