Installation Technician

• Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications
• Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions
• Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co-workers, contractors on-site and the general public and property of all concerned
• Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction
• Participate in training programs
• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required

• 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities
• Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus)
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively

Demonstrates expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated pedestrian doors, with a strong focus on safety and customer service. Proficient in diagnosing electro-mechanical issues and working with low-voltage wiring and aluminum frames.
