Field Technician Generator Technician

We are seeking an experienced Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial generators. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience working with 240V and 480V systems.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair generators and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
• Work on standby, commercial, and industrial generators
• Diagnose electrical issues involving 240V, 480V, and 3-phase systems
• Test and inspect transfer switches (ATS) and switch gear
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
• Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

• 2+ years of experience as a Generator Technician, Diesel Technician, Field Service Technician, or related role
• Experience troubleshooting generators, engines, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of 240V and 480V electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and oil changes
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Experience with Cummins, Generac, CAT, Kohler, MTU, or Detroit Diesel generators
• ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) experience
• Load bank testing experience
• Diesel engine diagnostic experience
• OSHA or electrical certifications

This is a Permanent position based out of Coconut Creek, FL.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
