Position Overview
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth. We are hiring a Youth Care Worker at Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida.
About the OrganizationPompano Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at‑risk female youth, providing comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence‑based intensive mental health services, including individual, family, and group counseling.
Job Location & Work EnvironmentLocated in beautiful Pompano Beach, the workplace offers coastal charm and a vibrant community life, with access to South Florida’s business and cultural scene.
Interview AvailabilityWalk‑in interviews are available Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 3090 N Powerline Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069.
Compensation & Benefits- Pay:
Starting at $19 per hour; schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period. - Benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, company‑paid Life Insurance within 90 days, 401(k) match up to 6% after 1 year, Paid Time Off usable as soon as it accrues.
- Provide 24‑hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Participate with youth during sports and recreation activities.
- Assist and mentor youth as they learn and develop within the program.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience working with at‑risk youth in a direct care position, or 60 hours of college education and possession of a driver’s license.
Youth Care staff work 12‑hour shifts.
